Chaz Humley and the Effects
West Virginia's Finest Blues Band
Only the Blues
From the old school blues of She Don't Want You to the swing influenced Only the Blues; from the down and dirty Bad Tequila Blues to the funk inspired Just Can't Go Wrong ... the original music of Chaz Humley and the Effects proves they can play - and create - it all.
Covering songs from Robert Johnson, Albert King, Memphis Slim, Elmore James, Freddie King and Bobby "Blue" Bland to BB King, Buddy Guy, T-Bone Walker and Ray Charles, and on to more contemporary artists like Eric Clapton, Lee Roy Parnell, Doyle Bramhall and Gary Moore; from newer blues players such as John Mayer, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Keb' Mo and Tommy Castro, to the latest musicians in blues, like Popa Chubby, Hamilton Loomis and Nuno Mindelis ...
Chaz Humley and the Effects plays it all.
No old rock and roll, no country music, no top 40 standards ... just the greatest in blues music.
With over one hundred and fifty years of cumulative musical experience, Chaz Humley and the Effects brings to the stage a sound that is seldom seen or heard today. Spanning six decades, they've paid their dues playing in blues, rock and roll, R&B and soul bands. All four musicians have played together in one band or another over the past forty years, until finally ending up together, doing what they do best.
Playing the blues ... and only the blues.
